David was born in 1964 in Tbilisi, the capital of the Republic of Georgia.
In 1982 he graduated from the Tbilisi Academy of Fine Arts with BA in Industrial Design.
From 2003 David with his family lives in Madison, NJ. He is a Glass Artist & Art Designer for Rambusch Decorating Co, Jersey City, NJ.
Within last thirty years in Israel and United States David created many stained glass windows for churches, synagogues, libraries, government buildings and private residences.
His work can be seen in Israel (Haifa, Nazareth, Bethlehem, Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem) and also in the USA (NYC, West Virginia, Washington D.C., Arizona, Utah, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Florida). His largest work at one place is design and material creation of 55 large stained glass windows for the new St. James Catholic Church in West Virginia.
David uses old traditional stained glass technique of multilayered painting followed by heating in oven at 1250F.
David, with his surreal ink paintings and drawings explores the condition of the soul and human connection through traditional art. In his work, he challenges the concrete reality that we live in – he plays with line art and texture to form a world of temporal fiction. Like a map to a new world, his pieces act as projections of something unknown. Attention to detail and dignified symbolic expression capture a timeless sense of reality.
The artistic photography is a separate line in David’s life besides his profession of artist and designer working in a variety of media. Through his photography, he strides to catch a scene or subject and show it from an unusual aspect, sometimes beyond the boundaries of reality.
David obsessively searches ways to capture the spiritual world of nature that is often unseen by others. His work has been displayed at international exhibitions in Europe and USA.
